A firewall in Utho Cloud is a security feature that helps protect your cloud resources by monitoring and controlling incoming and outgoing network traffic based on defined security rules. It’s essential for securing your cloud servers and applications.

2. How can I deploy a firewall in Utho Cloud? 🚀

To deploy a firewall:

  1. Log in to the Utho Cloud Platform.
  2. Go to the Firewall Listing Page.
  3. Click Create New Firewall, enter a name, and click Deploy Firewall. Your firewall will be live and ready for configuration!

3. How do I add servers to my firewall? 🌐

  1. Go to the Manage Page of the firewall.
  2. Click the Servers tab.
  3. Select Add Server and choose the servers you want to attach to the firewall.

4. Can I delete a server from my firewall?

Yes, to delete a server:

  1. Go to the Servers tab in the firewall management page.
  2. Click Delete next to the server you want to remove and confirm the action.

5. How do I destroy a firewall? 💥

To destroy a firewall:

  1. Go to the Manage Page of the firewall.
  2. Click the Destroy tab.
  3. Confirm the destruction by clicking Destroy Firewall. Be aware that destroying a firewall will remove all attached servers’ protection!

6. How can I export my firewall rules? 📥

You can export your firewall rules in CSV, Excel, or PDF formats. Just go to the Rules tab, click Export Rules, choose your preferred format, and download the file.

7. How do I upload custom firewall rules? ⬆️

To upload rules:

  1. Go to the Rules tab.
  2. Click Upload Rules.
  3. Select a .csv file with your custom rules and upload it.

8. What happens if I destroy my firewall? ⚠️

Destroying your firewall will dissociate all servers from the firewall, meaning those servers will lose their firewall protection. Make sure to reassess your security setup before proceeding.

9. Can I change the rules of my firewall after deployment? ⚙️

Yes, you can update, add, or delete rules at any time. Just go to the Rules tab in the firewall’s management page and make the necessary changes.

10. How can I troubleshoot firewall issues? 🛠️

If you’re facing issues with your firewall:

  • Check the rules for any misconfigurations.
  • Ensure your servers are properly attached.
